An Italian Plate @ Barwon Ridge

Updated: May 5, 2023

Tina Cencigh Amies and I are combining to present an Italian inspired long lunch with matching Barwon Ridge wines.

Tina is an Italian-bred, Sydney-born, Melbourne-based cook who learnt her kitchen craft from her mother whom she describes as ‘an absolute genius with pastry and all things Italian’.

At age 8, Tina first ventured into the kitchen to bake her first (blackened) sponge cake which her dad proclaimed was the best he had ever eaten. Since then Tina has thankfully developed her kitchen skills; from perfecting vol-au-vents in the 80s to deconstructing lasagne 20 years later.

Today, her focus is on using local and sustainable ingredients to create beautiful plates of food which are inspired by her Northern Italian heritage. Her philosophy is simple — love is about sharing food and food is about sharing love.

Tina’s food will be matched with Barwon Ridge wines.

Part of the proceeds will be donated to the “Love your sister” charity.

Please note: we will not be able to cater for special dietary needs at this lunch.

When: Sunday 28th May.

Where: Barwon Ridge, 50 McMullans Road, Barrabool

Time: 12.30 to mid afternoon.
